Driven by purity, Hollow Fibre Membrane redefines water treatment standards, ensuring consistently clear, high-quality water for diverse applications.
Hollow fiber membranes are precision filters that act as selective barriers, removing unwanted materials based on particle size. The membrane surfaces contain fine pores that determine which particles can pass through, based on a molecular weight cut-off value. Typically, water and small dissolved particles pass through the filter, while larger solid particles are retained and rejected.
A key application of hollow fiber membranes is in water treatment and purification. These membranes are essential for removing contaminants, pathogens, and particulates, ensuring that water is safe for consumption and use across various industries. Their role in desalination and wastewater reclamation, particularly in pre-treatment for Reverse Osmosis system to enhance efficiency.
Hollow fiber membranes are available in two forms: pressurized UF and submerged UF.
Utilizes Suntar’s Patented Materials
Made with Suntar’s patented PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) formula or graphene-enhanced PVDF.
External Pressure (Out-In)
Active surface area is on the outside, reduces channel blockage and extends membrane lifespan.
High Tensile Strength
Meets international standards for fiber breakage resistance.
Flexible Active Area
Offers 50–75 m² of active membrane area per module.
Hydrophilic, Easy to Store and Restore
Using hydrophilic formula technology, the membrane fibers maintain lasting hydrophilicity in a dry state, allowing water flux to be quickly restored after repeated drying. This offers higher flux, lower energy consumption, greater resistance to pollutants, and is easier to transport and store.
High Mechanical Strength, High Peel Strength
With a reinforced inner lining structure, the fibers achieve a breaking strength of over 200N. The membrane and support layers are integrated during production, creating a continuous strand without any peeling.
High Flux, Uniform Pore Size, High Porosity, Excellent Chemical Resistance and Cleaning Recovery
The modified PVDF material offers strong resistance to oxidants, inorganic acids, and organic acids during cleaning, while maintaining high flux. Its uniform pore size distribution ensures consistent permeate quality.
