Enhancing Wastewater Management for Oil and Gas Industry in Indonesia

Indonesia – February 15, 2025 – In the Riau province of Indonesia, we tackled the complex challenge of treating drilling wastewater for a client in the oil and gas industry. The water source presented significant treatment challenges, requiring close collaboration with the client’s engineers to re-adjust the operating configuration to achieve optimal performance.

To address these issues, we implemented a containerized High-Pressure Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, selected for its compact footprint, ease of installation, and maintenance-friendly design.

The project scope included the deployment of the RO system along with its respective dosing and control systems. By seamlessly integrating our advanced solutions to replace less efficient components, we ensured optimal performance and long-term system reliability.

The results were remarkable. The integrated system achieved an 80% recovery rate, with effluent consistently meeting the TDS threshold of 2,000 ppm, allowing for safe discharge into nearby water bodies in full compliance with environmental regulations.

Beyond improving operational reliability, the solution significantly reduced the client’s environmental footprint. Impressed by the system’s performance, the client requested an expansion in capacity, underscoring the project’s effectiveness and value. This successful partnership reflects our commitment to delivering customized solutions that exceed expectations and promote sustainable practices.
