Dr. Lan is the founder of Suntar Membrane and a pioneer in the development and application of membrane technology and solutions.

 
He has led numerous key national, provincial, and municipal technology research and demonstration projects. Dr. Lan has published dozens of papers in renowned academic journals, both domestically and internationally. Throughout his career, he has developed over 300 advanced separation processes, successfully applying them to the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, generating significant economic and social benefits. He holds multiple patents and has achieved internationally recognized results in membrane applications.


Dr. Lan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Xiamen University (1985), a PhD from the National University of Singapore (1995), and an MPAM from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (2015).

Fulin is the CEO of Suntar Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. He has been with the company since 1998 and has led its expansion efforts in China since 2016. Fulin holds a total of 128 intellectual property patents, 54 of which are invention patents. He has contributed to drafting three national standards and one industry group standard, and has published 18 professional papers in related fields. In 2014, he was recognized as an ‘Outstanding Engineer in the Membrane Industry’ by the China Membrane Industry Association.


Fulin is recognized for his expertise in guiding Suntar Membrane’s advancements in membrane technology across diverse industries, including vitamins, antibiotics, amino acids, sugar alcohols, food and beverages, nuclear power, and rare earths. His efforts have bridged essential gaps in domestic membrane applications, promoting innovation and transforming conventional production processes with notable achievements in cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and sustainable production practices.


Fulin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Fiber from China Textile University.

Yubin is the Chief Engineer of Suntar Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. He has been with the company since 1999 where he has led the technical team in China since 2012. Fulin holds a total of 140 intellectual property patents and has led the formulation of Fujian provincial local standards while participating in the drafting or revision of five national or industry standards. He was recognized as an ‘Outstanding Engineer in the Membrane Industry’ by the China Membrane Industry Association in 2014. 

 

With more than 20 years of experience in membrane material development, membrane process unit coupling, and membrane cleaning, Yubin has successfully developed innovative materials, including ceramic membranes and hollow fiber membranes. The performance of ceramic membrane products has achieved a leading level in China.

 

Yubin holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Engineering from China Agricultural University.

Yihong is the Executive Director of Suntar International Group. Since joining the company in 2015, he has overseen strategic planning across the group’s diverse portfolio in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East. Before assuming his current role, Yihong was responsible for establishing Suntar’s Northwest China manufacturing facility in Yan An, Shaanxi. His contributions to the water industry were recognized in 2019 when he received the prestigious “First China Youth Elite Award in the Water Industry” at the 14th Qingdao International Water Conference.

Prior to his work with Suntar, Yihong founded Siyuan, a social enterprise dedicated to providing purified drinking water to schools in rural China, underscoring his commitment to sustainable and socially responsible ventures. Earlier in his career, he held roles in private equity and banking, working in major financial centers such as Beijing and New York, where he honed skills in due diligence, negotiations, and project execution.

Yihong holds a PhD in Information Systems and Analytics from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Lihua is the Technical Director of Suntar International Group. She has been with the company since 1999 and relocated from China to Singapore in 2018 to spearhead the development of the Southeast Asian market. During her tenure at Suntar, she overseen more than 30 major domestic and international technical projects, pioneering the development of membrane technology applications across industries such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemicals, wastewater treatment, and water reuse. Many of these applications were pioneering efforts in China.


Lihua played a key role in introducing and applying advanced Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology from abroad, which has since become widely used in the domestic pharmaceutical, food, and municipal wastewater sectors.


She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Materials and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
